Journey Youth
Journey Youth is a youth ministry in Calgary that exists to make fully devoted followers of Jesus. We believe that having fun, mentorship and encountering God is how we get there.
What do we do?
Every Friday Night from September to June we gather at Journey Church in NW Calgary for youth. On these nights we have worship, games, small group discussion and time to spend with friends. Once a month we do an event, either at Journey or offsite to help continue building those important relationships.
On Sundays, we have Junior High Class for our grade 5-8s. This is a chance for students to ask the big questions in a safe place and learn what it means to follow Jesus

When you arrive, you enter through the main entrance where we have our greeters and check in. Our first timers go to our new student check in and we register the student with their details. After this, they receive a free coupon for our snack shop, get introduced to the small group leader for their age and spend some time meeting their small group.

Doors open at 7 (don’t worry, we have a lobby for you to chill in if you arrive early). We have 30 minutes to hang out, play 9-square, video games and other games! We kick of our programmed time for the evening with a game and then spend some time in worship. After this we have preaching and then a small group discussion time. We end off the night with a snack and time to hang out with each other until the night ends at 10.

If you are a parent dropping your student off at youth, we would love to introduce ourselves. Feel free to come to the entrance and meet one of our youth pastors, or your students small group leaders! You can also find us on Sundays or would love to take you for a coffee to talk about why we do youth.

Our regular youth nights are completely free. Every month we have an event that occasionally does cost some money. We also run regular youth retreats where we leave for a weekend which does cost money. If finances are ever a hindrance to attending any events, please reach out and we will do our best to cover the costs.
